I decided I needed to learn Java – so I wrote a Bukkit plugin 🙂
It’s a simple server addon that shows the damage you just did, and the remaining health of the Mob that you just hit.

Coming next is tracking projectile damage (arrows, snowballs). And then already had a feature request to track “spell damage”…
